Pictures Posted!

I know everyone has probably been wondering why it's taken me so long to get pictures posted. Sorry, I've been so busy since I got home I didn't have time to get this done.  I've gone through the hundreds of pictures and selected some of the better ones to post here.  We are still in the process of making discs to send out.  There never seems to be enough time to get everything done in a week we plan to do.

I think there are some great pictures here.  Enjoy!  Anyone that has sent me pictures, I will download those and add to the blog also.  I know some of you took some great pictures.

Happy weekend!

Success!!

From the East coast to the West coast, family gathering to share good times, good food, good memories.  Bonds build, friendships kindled.  Everyone should be home again by now settling into a normal routine, with the memories of the weekend safely tucked into their hearts to retrieve as needed.  A smile on our faces as we recall the weekend.

We are still in Wainwright tying up details of the reunion and taking care of business for my parents.    Thank you for taking the time to come to Wainwright and be a part of a great family heritage.  Watch for pictures to post on the blog from the reunion.

More to come when I get home.......

What a great day!

Today was the kind of a day you don't want to end.  So much you want to say, so many people you want to visit with.  It was super to see relatives that I haven't seen for years and some I've never met.
A huge thank you to everyone for all the help today and prior.  It couldn't have happened without everyone.  The cousins crew in the kitchen was pretty amazing!

Be thinking about the next reunion, thoughts, ideas, suggestions and who would like to be the host.

Thanks again to all for the help to make this a successful day, everyone had a part in it.    The best part is that tomorrow we get to do it all over again!

This is the week!

Many of you are already here in Alberta enjoying the beautiful Rockies and some are still traveling or getting ready to travel.  We wish you a safe journey and look forward to seeing you Saturday.  Myron and I arrived Sunday in Wainwright and have been busy with arrangements and preparations for your arrival at the reunion.  We have had great response and it should be a good turnout for Saturday and Sunday.  We just discovered today that there is a "Taste of Wainwright" being held Thursday evening from 4-9 pm that sounds like great fun.  Food, entertainment, vendors, something for everyone.  I'm excited my kids and grandkids will be here in time to attend. See everyone soon!

Accidently Deleted the Activities Page

I was updating the activities page and adding links to all the suggested activities......well we have to love the world of technology......it's all gone.....don't know what happened.

All is well, I found it and it's still here, just not in the right order now.

WE'RE ALMOST THERE!

It's only two weeks now until the reunion.  I hope everyone is getting excited.  I will be in Wainwright by the 15th so if you need to contact me in person please call me at Gail's (780-842-4915) and leave me a message.  Probably the best way to contact me once I'm in Alberta is by email, pamgebhardt@comcast.net  I will have my laptop with me and be checking emails daily.

The reunion will start at 9 a.m. Saturday morning and end around 4 pm Sunday.  We will be providing lunch Saturday and Sunday, and supper Saturday evening, which will be catered.  We will also be providing snacks and drinks throughout the reunion.  Please check the other tabs on the blog to get more details.

We need to know firm numbers to let the caterer know this week.  If you haven't already contacted me, please call or email me by Saturday.  We don't want anyone to be missed for supper Saturday it's sure to be delicious.

Anyone who would like to bring pictures, photo albums, and memorabilia to share we will have tables set up for you to do this.  It's always fun to see old and new pictures of family.

Anyone who would like to help with setup, we will be meeting Friday July 20th, 6:30 pm at the Prairie Rose.   We will gladly accept and appreciate your help.  If this time changes, I will post it on the blog.

If you have questions please call me at 801-224-3785 until July 12, or email me at pamgebhardt@comcast.net  If you have questions after July 12th I will be in route to Alberta, so email me or call me at Gails the evening of the 15th.

4 Weeks and Counting!

I'm beginning to wonder where the last year went, it's almost July again!  We're looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.  It's been great to connect with a few relatives over the phone and email.

I trust everyone that needs hotel accommodations have scheduled in advance.  There are a couple of nice new hotels on the edge of Wainwright.  My grandkids are going to love the waterslide where they are staying.

Please take time to go through the blog and look for updates.  If you have questions call me at 801-224-3785 or email me at pamgebhardt@comcast.net

6 Weeks and Counting!!

It will be just over 6 weeks and we will be gathered in Wainwright enjoying each other.  Time flies when there is much to do.  We are excited about the response and those that are planning to attend this year.  We will miss those that aren't able to come, but look forward to the next reunion.

Prices have been figured to cover the costs of lunch Saturday and Sunday, a catered supper Saturday evening, drinks and snacks for both days, hall rental and all expenses associated with the reunion.  To help cover the expenses we're suggesting $30 per person.  You can send your money to Dixie Bowen, RR1, Edgerton, Alberta TOB 1KO, in advance of the reunion, or bring it with you.  If you send it in advance, give enough mail time to reach Dixie as we will need to use the funds to purchase and prepare food in advance of the reunion.

If you have questions regarding the costs and pricing please contact Pam Gebhardt at 801-224-3785 or email me at pamgebhardt@comcast.net

Sharing Pictures and Scrapbooks

We are going to have display tables set up at the reunion for you to share family pictures and scrapbooks.  Please feel free to bring what you would like to share during the reunion.   If you have questions please contact me at pamgebhardt@comcast.net

Happy Spring!

I trust everyone has received your invitation and you are making plans to attend the reunion in July.  I have heard from several relatives and look forward to catching up.  If you haven't let me know whether or not you are coming, send me a quick email.  Even if you don't know until the last minute, at least I know an approximate number to start planning food for.

Thank you to all of you have emailed me with your plans.  It has been great to reconnect with many of the relatives that I haven't had contact with for years.

To those of you who can't make it to the reunion, we will miss you and hope to see you at the next one.  Life seems to be very busy and takes us in many directions on a regular basis.
I haven't updated the blog lately as I have been in Wainwright with my parents as Dad has been in the hospital for 5 weeks now.  He's had the flu, pneumonia and they are now treating him for congestive heart failure.  He is doing better and we look forward to his release from the hospital.  We've moved Mom to Points West and she is settled and happy, anxiously awaiting Dad to be well enough to move there also.

Now that I'm back from Canada, I will update the blog on a regular basis and let you know more information.  If you have questions, please let me know.
